An Easy Way to Look Better in Yoga Pants

Labiaplasty Houston

Comfortable, casual athletic wear is no longer reserved just for working out.  Today, women are rocking snazzy yoga pants everywhere from the elementary school drop-off line to the grocery store to the movies.  Favorite brands, such as LuLu Lemon, Athleta, and Victoria’s Secret, can make for an easy lycra statement piece, with the ease and comfort of a pair of pajamas.

There is only one catch: not everyone feels confident in a pair of these skintight pants.  According to a recent article in the New York Post, yoga pants are actually common problem for those ladies with larger labia.  So what is the remedy for the yoga pant-conundrum?  A labiaplasty, of course.

The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) reports that the labiaplasty is on the rise, increasing by more than 44% since 2013.  “The reality is that women have been grooming themselves differently for about the past ten years,” said Christine Hamori, MD, an ASAPS member specializing in Labiaplasty.  One of the biggest patient populations to jump on the Labiaplasty band wagon are newly divorced women, who are ready to get back into the dating game with a fresh, tight body.  As more trusted plastic surgeons are offering the outpatient procedure, women are learning just how simple the remedy for an unsightly labia can be.

Loosing the bulge in underwear and swim bottoms is only a small part of the labiaplasty results.  Women with unusually large or misshapen labia can suffer a variety of physical issues, as well.  Tight clothing can rub, causing friction and discomfort.  Sex can also be a big problem, as the labia can painfully pull and tug.  On top of these issues, a misshapen labia can be the catalyst for self-doubt and a loss of confidence during intimate situations.

While the labiaplasty may seem like a sure-fire way to eliminate discomfort, embarrassment, and the dreaded ‘camel toe’, not just anyone will make a good candidate for the procedure.  Women who are looking into labia reshaping purely to make their partner happy, need to think again.  No cosmetic surgery should be undertaken to please someone else; the labiaplasty is personal and should be performed on women who want the results for themselves.  Secondly, those with certain medical conditions, such as bleeding disorders or urinary incontinence, may be recommended to postpone their labiaplasty until they have checked out by a specialist.
