Cheat the Gym With These Procedures

cheat the gym

You know that a healthy diet and plenty of exercise can help you get the body you dream of – svelte, toned and strong. But, diet and exercise don’t always provide the results you were hoping for. In some cases, you might need to cheat the gym and consider plastic surgery if you want to get certain results. For example, you can’t exercise extra skin away. You also can’t target fat loss on certain areas of the body (like the tummy) by doing certain exercises (like sit-ups or crunches).

While you might not want to cut up your gym membership card, if you’re not getting the results you want from working out, surgery can be your best option. Cheat the gym by learning more about certain body shaping procedures.

Cheat the Gym with a Butt Lift

You’re aimlessly scrolling through Instagram one day when you see a picture meant to inspire you to hit the gym and do 100 squats. This is the era of the derrierre, with Instagram stars and other celebrities proudly showing off the junk they have in the trunk.

While it’s true that some people are develop large buttocks with lots of squats and lunges and through other regular exercise, if you naturally have what can be described as a pancake butt, and you’ve been doing the squats with no results, you might want a little help from surgery.

Enter the Brazilian butt lift. The procedure involves taking fat from one area of the body and injecting it into the buttocks, to make them rounder and more prominent. In some cases, the butt lift provides two benefits. Since it involves taking fat from one part of the body, it can help reduce a fatty area, such as your hips, thighs or tummy, as well as enhancing your backside.

There are some things to know about a Brazilian butt lift before you decide it’s right for you. For one thing, it’s not the right surgery for super trim, nearly fat-free people. If you don’t have enough fat to take from area and inject into the buttocks, the procedure won’t work out for you.

Another thing worth noting is that the recovery can take some time afterwards, usually up to two weeks. Since you want your body to reabsorb as little of the injected fat as possible, it’s usually recommended that you avoid sitting on the butt as much as you can during those two weeks.

Cheat the Gym with an Arm Lift

You want toned, shapely arms. After lots of bicep curls and push ups, you’ve still got batwings. Even if your arms are strong, loose skin and extra fat in the upper arm area can make them look flabby and weak.

An arm lift, or brachioplasty, helps improve the shape of the upper arm area.It involves trimming away the extra skin that creates the flappy, batwing look and performing liposuction to permanently remove any fatty deposits.

After you’ve had time to heal from the arm lift, you can marvel at your newly toned looking arms or decide to hit the gym and build your arm strength back up.

Cheat the Gym with a Tummy Tuck

The abdominal area can be one of the most frustrating areas of the body. It’s subject to a lot of changes over time. Some people naturally carry a lot of fat in that area. Pregnancy also does a number on the area, by stretching out the skin and leaving many women with a tummy pouch afterwards. Women who have a C-section during delivery also tend to end up with a long scar across their abdomen.

When no amount of exercise and the healthiest of diets doesn’t seem to help flatten your tummy, a tummy tuck can help. The surgery removes excess skin from the abdominal area, creating a smooth, flat stomach area. It also gets rid of unwanted, extra fat. In the case of women with C-section scars, the surgery can also help conceal those scars.

Calf Implants

Running, cycling and weight bearing leg exercises can help you get the toned, shapely calves you long for. But, there is a way to cheat the gym and get defined looking calves without all that work. Calf implants are either made of solid silicone or involve injecting fat, harvested from a different area of the body.

There are a few things you can do to improve your results immediately after calf implant surgery. Your surgeon will most likely advise wearing compression stockings for several weeks. The stockings will hold the implants in place and help improve your results. Although you can go back to work after about two weeks, you’ll want to take it easy and stay off of your feet for as long as possible, usually up to six weeks.

Liposuction isn’t a weight loss surgery, even though it does remove unwanted fat from the body. If you’ve recently lost a lot of weight, but still have stubborn pockets of fat, it can help. It’s also ideal for people who have been at their goal weight for some time, but find that they have areas of unwanted fat, and that the fat persists, even though they work out and eat healthily.

The surgery permanently removes unwanted fat, but it’s not a magic solution. You’ll want to keep up your exercise routine and diet afterwards to keep any remaining fat from expanding and undoing your results.
