Meet Dr. Vitenas
The Fine Art of Natural Cosmetic Surgery

The Cutera Titan is an infrared light treatment designed to heat the deep dermis of the skin, stimulating new collagen formation. The treatment effectively improves skin tone and elasticity and may be used on many areas of the body including the face, jawline, under the chin, the neck, arms, abdomen, and legs. Compared to other laser treatments, the Titan is a gentler procedure providing more uniform and consistent heating and more even distribution.

Good candidates for the Titan treatment include men and women of any age who are looking to improve the appearance of skin laxity but are not ready for surgery. While Titan can provide a rested and refreshed look, the results are not as dramatic as with surgery. Titan can be combined with other surgical and non-surgical procedures as a finishing touch.

The Titan treatment is an in-office procedure that takes one to three hours to complete depending on the area being treated. A topical anesthetic is not necessary however, we use our Zimmer cooling device as an added comfort and or topical anesthetic if requested. In addition, the specialized handpiece emits a continuous cooling to protect the skin’s surface. Patients may experience a brief heating sensation with each Titan pulse. Two to three treatments are required and spaced 3-4 weeks apart.

There is virtually no downtime associated with the Titan treatment. Some patients may experience mild swelling or redness in the treatment area which typically dissipates within a few hours. Patients will see immediate results along with continued improvement as new collagen growth further tightens the skin for six to twelve weeks after treatment. Work and other normal activities can be resumed immediately after the procedure.
