Enhance your Liposuction Results With These Procedures!

liposuction results

liposuction resultsYou want to get rid of extra fat and get a slimmer look. Liposuction can help with that. But on its own, liposuction can be a limited procedure. All it does is get rid of extra fat, after all. If you want to maximize your liposuction results, it’s worth considering combining the procedure with another body contouring surgery. Here are just a few options that can help you get the most from your liposuction results.

Boost Your Liposuction Results With a Brazilian Butt Lift

Do you want a flatter stomach but bigger butt? Perhaps you’re unhappy about the size of your thighs and wish your buttocks looked less like a pancake.

Combining a Brazilian butt lift with liposuction makes perfect sense. Here’s why: liposuction is already a part of the butt lift procedure. The surgery involves taking fat from one area of your body and transferring it to the buttocks to give them a more lifted, plump appearance. You can’t have a butt lift without some form of liposuction, so you might as well get the most out of your experience.

Where does the fat come from for the butt lift? That depends on your goals. If you want a flatter tummy, your surgeon can perform liposuction on the abdominal area, then clean the fat and prepare it for injection into the buttocks.

One thing that’s important to know about deciding to get a Brazilian butt lift along with liposuction: having the two procedures does extend your recovery time. Recovery after liposuction on its own typically takes about a week. Recovery after a butt lift takes between a week to two weeks. Here’s the tricky part: you’ll have to make more adjustments to your life after a butt lift than you would after liposuction alone.

To keep your results and to avoid flattening your butt, it’s important that you not sit on your derriere for at least the first two weeks after your injections. You’ll be able to go back to work after about a week, but if you have a desk job, it’s a good idea to make sure there’s a standing desk available for you to use during your first few weeks back.

Get a Flatter Tummy With Liposuction and a Tummy Tuck

Sometimes, removing fat with liposuction isn’t enough to give you the flat tummy you long for. Pregnancy, the ravages of time and dramatic weight loss can all leave you with excess, loose skin in the abdominal area. Even if the fat is gone, that extra skin can make it difficult to fit into clothing, leave you not wanting to wear a bikini, ever, and can make wearing anything body conscious a challenge.

For that reason, a tummy tuck is often the ideal way to enhance your liposuction results. The surgery can be performed alongside liposuction of the abdominal area, as well as alongside liposuction of the hips, thighs and other body areas.

Like the Brazilian butt lift, the recovery after a tummy tuck and lipo combo is longer than the recovery after liposuction alone. You’ll be able to sit during your recovery, though. Usually, initial recovery takes up two weeks. You’ll be asked to wear a special garment to provide support and help you heal after the tummy tuck. You’ll also be asked to wear a special compression garment to help improve your liposuction results.

Trim Down Overall With Liposuction and a Body Lift

You might not only feel self-conscious about the extra skin and fat in the tummy area. If you’re also feeling a bit self-conscious about loose, sagging skin near the hips and lower back, a body lift combined with liposuction might be the right option for you.

Usually, a body lift is reserved for patients who have successfully lost a massive amount of weight and are now left with stretched out, loose skin. Depending on how much loose skin you have, and where, the body lift can involve an arm lift, as well as a tummy tuck and back lift.

The body lift procedure requires a large incision, made all the way around the body, across the abdomen and lower back, just above the buttocks. Once the incision is made, the surgeon trims away extra skin and removes the extra fat. If the procedure includes the upper arms, an additional incision will be made on the inside of each arm running from the armpit to about the elbow.

A body lift can take as long as six hours to perform, depending on how complicated it is. To help you regain your shape after a body lift, it’s common to wear a compression garment for several weeks following the procedure. You can expect to go back to a desk job after about two weeks, but should refrain from any heavy lifting or strenuous physical activities for at least a month afterwards.
