Meet Dr. Vitenas

Cosmoplast and Cosmoderm are injectable fillers made of human-derived collagen. When injected beneath the skin, they can fill in fine lines and shallow scars and restore the lip border. Cosmoderm is generally used for minor skin defects while Cosmoplast may be used for more acute defects. Good candidates for Cosmoplast and Cosmoderm include men and women who are seeking a gentle injectable treatment providing immediate results with very little swelling and discomfort. The procedure can be ideal for those interested in trying a facial filler without committing to something that is longer lasting.

Cosmoplast and Cosmoderm injections are in-office procedures that take less than thirty minutes to complete. Both are formulated with lidocaine, allowing for increased comfort during the injection process without the need for additional anesthesia.

Like all injectable procedures, there is always a risk of bruising after treatment. However, there is no swelling associated with Cosmoplast and Cosmoderm, and results are immediate. Patients are able to return to work and other activities right away. In fact, it’s possible to have the procedure in the afternoon and go out in the evening looking amazing.

Patients will be advised to avoid strenuous exercise for the first twenty-four hours after treatment. Results last an average of three to six months.
