Meet Dr. Vitenas
The Fine Art of Natural Cosmetic Surgery

Microdermabrasion is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure able to instantly renew the skin with no downtime. The Diamond Tome, which is the newest in microdermabrasion technology, effectively removes the top dead cell layer of skin to reveal a softer, smoother and more radiant complexion. Microdermabrasion can improve the appearance of sun- and age-damaged skin including fine lines, superficial wrinkles, crow’s feet, age spots, acne scars, and other blemishes.

Microdermabrasion can be particularly beneficial for individuals with oily or acneic skin, mature or dehydrated skin, and anyone with a dull, “lifeless” complexion. The procedure may be performed on all ages and skin types, though it may not be appropriate for patients with severe rosacea.

This simple in-office procedure takes about fifteen minutes to complete. It is a painless treatment and does not require anesthesia. Though the skin may be slightly pink on the day of treatment, patients are able to immediately return to work and other normal activities. Optimal results are achieved with a series of treatments, often ranging from eight to ten. Microdermabrasion can also be very beneficial as a pre-treatment to prepare the skin for a chemical peel during the same visit.
