Houston Titan Light Treatment FAQs |
Q - What is Titan?
Titan is an infrared light treatment which heats the deep dermis of the skin. This stimulates new collagen formation and improves skin tone and elasticity. Titan may be used on many areas of the body including the face, jawline, under the chin, the neck, arms, abdomen, and legs. The result is a rested and refreshed look.
Q - Who is a candidate for Titan?
Men and women who are looking to improve the appearance of skin laxity without undergoing surgery may be good candidates for the Titan procedure. Patients should understand that the results are not as dramatic as surgery.
Q - Where is the Titan procedure performed?
The Titan procedure is performed in Dr. Vitenas' office.
Q - Is anesthesia used for the Titan procedure?
A topical anesthetic may be used, and the specialized handpiece emits a continuous cooling to protect the skin's surface.
Q - How is the Titan treatment performed?
The Titan handpiece is applied to the skin, emitting infrared light that heats the dermis along with continuous cooling to protect the skin's surface. The heat causes immediate collagen contraction which results in tighter skin. Though one treatment may produce good result, patients often require two to three treatments over several months.
Q - How long is the procedure time for the Titan procedure?
Titan takes about one to three hours to complete depending on the area being treated.
Q - Is the Titan treatment a painful procedure?
Titan is not a painful procedure. Patients may feel a brief heating sensation with the each pulse of the laser.
Q - What is the recovery like after the Titan procedure?
Though some mild swelling or redness may occur after the Titan procedure, these side effects usually fade within a few hours. Patients can immediately return to their normal routine. Immediate results will be apparent after treatment and continued improvement will occur over the next six to twelve weeks as new collagen growth further tightens the skin.
Q - When will I be able to return to work after the Titan procedure?
Patients are able to immediately return to work and other normal activities after treatment.
Q - What are the risks or possible complications of Titan?
In the hands of our professional staff, there is little risk of skin damage with Titan. The specialized hand piece delivers continual cooling to protect the outer layer of skin.
Q - Is it possible to finance my Cutera Titan laser treatment?
