Do you ever wonder who is coming into the cosmetic surgeon’s office? The answer just might surprise you. Vitenas Cosmetic Surgery believes that it is easier to understand the world of plastic surgery when you are able to place a face on the modern patient.
In the last year, Dr. Vitenas has performed over 1,000 surgical and non-invasive procedures; his patients span every age range, and come from all over the United States. Keep an eye peeled over the next month or so, as we give a shout-out to all of the wonderful cities that have sent us our one-of-a-kind, fabulous patients.
One thing Vitenas Cosmetic Surgery knows, from 22 years of first-hand experience, is there are no limits to who might consider a cosmetic procedure. Different groups do lean toward their own specific set of treatments, though. The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons recently released its list of the most popular procedures for each age bracket – take a look:
Up and coming adults are ready to improve lifelong facial or body imbalances; they also favor non-surgical procedures that will slow the first signs of aging. Dr. Vitenas sees young adult, and young at heart, patients from Decatur, Georgia;Lakeview, Arkansas; Peoria, Illinois; Perkinston, Mississippi; and Towson, Maryland.
Laser Treatments and Chemical Peels
48% of Botox Cosmetic, Dysport, and Xeomin injections belong to this age range, as they start to see the effects from childbirth and aging begin to appear. Some of our favorite 35-50 year old patients are from O’Fallon, Missouri; Lynchburg, Virginia; Oxford and Monticello, Mississippi.
60 is the new 50! This age group made up 59.3% of last year’s facelifts, clocking in with 101, 686.
Folks in this range still work hard and strive to remain competitive in the job market. Many exceptional people in this bracket have traveled to our office from Rio Rancho, New Mexico; Rogers, Arkansas; and various locations in Oklahoma such as Edmond, Davis, and Bartlesville.
65 and older:
Cosmetic procedures in this group have gone up 79% from 2001. These mature individuals see their surgeons for both a first time correction of wrinkles and sagging skin, as well as to enhance the results of previous procedures. Our patients from Waldorf, Maryland; Toledo, Ohio; Ponca City and Moore, Oklahoma, know there is no maximum age for self-improvement.
