About the Surgery and Recovery

After this, the excess skin is removed. Although recovery from the labiaplasty takes only one to two weeks, more strenuous activity, like sexual intercourse, should be avoided for four to six weeks. The sutures that are used during the surgery are dissolvable, so, after the surgery, no stitches will need to be removed.
Around the labia and surrounding areas, there will be slight bruising and some swelling. For any discomfort, medicine will be provided to help with the pain.
