Enjoy That Perfect Pout

You’re certainly not alone if you’ve noticed your lips losing volume and shape over time. With age, the lip border can become less distinct, and fine lines can begin radiating outwards. Traditionally, lip augmentation has been used to improve the shape of the lips, but the long-term commitment means the surgical procedure is not for everyone. More recently, various lip injections, while successful, cannot always bring the desired aesthetic results. To learn more about our non-surgical lip augmentation options, reach out and set up your consultation at our Houston office today.

Is Juvéderm the Right Choice?

Visiting Vitenas Cosmetic Surgery gives Dr. Paul Vitenas the chance to learn all about you, your cosmetic goals, and your lifestyle, so he can select the right treatment in a way that aligns with all three.

You’re likely a great candidate for this treatment if you’re interested in an effective way to:

  • Plump and contour the lips
  • Eliminate fine lines (Smoker’s Lines) around the lips
  • Define lip shape and border
  • Balance asymmetrical lips
  • Enhance the Cupid’s Bow, or indentation above the top lip

A Cutting-Edge Procedure

Volbella® is an innovative dermal filler, utilizing Juvederm’s cutting-edge Vycross® technology. The super smooth filler results in easy injections and creates unsurpassed results. Volbella® is made from hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring substance that creates structure within the tissues by increasing hydration. Over time, the HA boosts the body’s production of collagen, meaning long-lasting results. Juvederm Volbella® can bring beautiful lips that last up to 12 months.

The Ideal Candidate

Approved by the Food and Drug Administration as a safe and effective way to improve the shape and definition of the lips, Volbella® is an excellent choice for almost everyone. Juvéderm Volbella® is safe for men and women over 21, of all skin types and ethnicities.

Anyone with an allergy to lidocaine or gram-positive bacteria, with a history of scarring, as well as women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, should avoid the treatment. Side effects are minor, and can include temporary redness, bruising, and itching.

Volbella® has a lower HA content than other fillers, meaning less swelling after treatment. More serious complications, such as excessive bleeding, infection, and nerve damage are rare, especially when under the care of an experienced injector like Dr. Viteans.
